Membership & Academies

We welcome all levels to play at the Club including absolute beginners; polo begins in the Junior Academy from 8 years old.

what to wear for playing polo at HPC

  • players need to wear white jeans or trousers with the appropriate polo shirt for the academy, chukkas or matches

  • accredited polo helmet, polo boots, knee pads, elbow pads and a mouth guard

  • Academy 18+ requires the purchase of 2 shirts for the season for Weds/ Sat practise games (yellow & light blue)

  • Chukkas/ Debentures requires the purchase of 2 chukka shirts for the season (white & burgundy); office@hampoloclub.com to purchase

Visiting Players

We are always very pleased to welcome experienced players to visit our Club to play individually or with their teams. We offer complimentary horse box parking, pony lines and complimentary PLAYER access to our Clubhouse.

All play is to be paid for prior to playing and all players must be members of the HPA: there are no exceptions to this and all questions and enquiries should be addressed to antonino@hampoloclub.com

Visiting players are welcome and may be introduced by a current member or alternatively speak to our Polo Manager about visiting without a member contact; day membership fees apply as follows, this does not include HPA fees or horse rental. All fees are non- refundable. (Please ensure that you have discussed your playing requirements with our Polo Manager prior to paying fees)

  • Guest Player Invited by a Member £390 (includes 2 Clubhouse Day Memberships)

  • Guest Team Invited by a Member £900 (includes 4 Clubhouse Day Memberships)

  • Day Playing Membership £495 (includes 2 Clubhouse Day Memberships)

All players will follow the Ham Polo Club rules of play & conduct on/ off the field; the umpires decisions are final

Lunch must be booked in the Clubhouse via email, any non-players are required to pay Day Membership for the Clubhouse: clubhouse@hampoloclub.com

The Club reserves the right to refuse play if fees are not paid prior to play

Club Horse Rental- payable in advance

  • Subject to availability and suitability; the Club reserves the right to cease play on a particular horse if considered necessary

  • Non-members per chukka £220 anyday

  • Members per chukka £200 anyday
